Jungwon Choi joins Electrical & Computer Engineering this fall from the University of Minnesota where she was an assistant professor focused on power electronics, power semiconductor devices, wireless power transfer and magnetics.
Choi’s research interests include high-frequency power converters, wireless power transfer for battery-powered vehicles, industrial and biomedical applications, magnetic designs, controls at high-frequencies, energy storage, and wide bandgap devices. She is an associate editor of the IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics and organizing committee of the IEEE Energy & Expo 2023. She has received a number of awards, including Unlock Ideas awards from Lam Research and the National Science Foundation CAREER award.
