Dear Technology Review colleague,
MIT Technology Review's prestigious TR35 awards (formerly the TR100) recognizing the world's top young innovators have been a great success in recent years. We are now seeking nominations for the 2010 class of TR35 winners. The final deadline is rapidly approaching: nominations close on March 31!
We would like to ask your help in identifying innovative young men and women who would be superior candidates for the TR35. As you know, the awards span a wide range of technologies from biotech, arts and entertainment, and software development to semiconductors, transportation, energy, and new materials research. We are searching for individuals who will be under age 35 as of Oct. 1, 2010, and whose superb technical work holds great promise to shape the next decades. Our goal is to recognize the development of new technology or the creative application of existing technologies to solve problems, to reward ingenious and elegant work that matters to the world at large--not just to peers in a particular field or industry.
You can view profiles of the previous TR100 and TR35 honorees on our website at www.technologyreview.com/tr35/. You can also nominate candidates for this year’s class using the simple form on our website: www.technologyreview.com/tr35/nominate.aspx.
As always, Technology Review will showcase the TR35 finalists, including our "Innovator of the Year," in our September/October 2010 issue. A distinguished panel of judges--technologists, inventors, and entrepreneurs--will evaluate the nominees. We will also recognize the finalists at our EmTech Conference and awards program, September 21–23, 2010.
So please help us carry on the tradition of recognizing the world's most promising young innovators. And please spread the word to other potential nominators. If you have any questions about the nominations and upcoming awards, check our online FAQ at www.technologyreview.com/tr35/faq.aspx. If your question is not answered there, feel free to contact me at erika.jonietz@technologyreview.com. Thank you very much for your help.
Sincerely,
