We give the presenters an annual stipend of $250 for the year. This amount is considered $200 for participating and $50 for the gas expenses from private transportation. This added stipend was easier than reimbursing for each car trip. Private transportation is preferred, but in the case that a group of presenters has no car, they can rent one from the UW using our budget. We have "activity kits" which the presenters check out before they go on a visit. This allows for the coordinator to replenish and maintain the kits so that there is just one person dealing with reimbursement. The UWWI program is part of the UW College of Engineering which has 10 individual engineering departments. |
