OIE will be presenting “Taking Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Theoretical to Practical” at the 2024 Engineering Development Forum (EDF) Conference this June at Duke University. Topics such as microaggressions, having difficult conversations, asset framing, etc., will highlight how developing DEI knowledge and skills have led to more equitable and inclusive fundraising practices. - Paper accepted at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE)
A paper titled “Evaluating the Impact of Teaching Undergraduate Engineering Students How to be Leaders in Diverse Environments: A Work in Progress” has been accepted for publication in the proceedings for the ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition.
